Empowering Young Minds through Internet Safety Session
In the digital age, where the internet plays an integral role in our lives, it’s imperative to equip young minds with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely. Recently, an Internet Safety Session was conducted at Shree Chandee Adarsha Secondary School for Grade 7 students, aiming to educate and empower them to make informed choices online. What unfolded during the session was not just a lecture, but a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights, fueled by the enthusiasm of 19 eager young minds.
The session commenced with an introduction to the significance of internet safety in today’s world. Students were encouraged to recognise the signs of online abuse and practical solutions were discussed, empowering them to address and report instances of online abuse. One of the key sessions included the password security session where practical tips were shared on how to craft secure passwords and safeguard personal information from cyber threats.
Through real-life examples, the students grasped the session pretty well. They shared their experiences and concerns regarding the online activities, creating an open and interactive environment from the outset. It was heartening to witness their active participation and interest in the topic.
