We were following Safer-I Nepal from the very beginning so we were looking for opportunities to work together with them. It was a smooth collaboration and I was personally impressed by how they curated a detailed and interactive ToT session on digital safety and security for our project participants. The facilitators were so engaging and communicative which helped participants open up about their own personal concerns of being on the digital platforms. Joining hands with Safer I Nepal with that collaboration helped us understand their campaign of creating gender inclusive technology more better.

Most digital rights, safety, and security initiatives are around policy lobbying, and general awareness among the public. Safer I initiative is unique in its inward-looking perspective where the actors advocating for better tech practices are the people in tech themselves. I have learned so much from the team in the last three years and am looking forward to more. Safer-I insights are my favorite bite-sized resource from the team!

 Safer-I Nepal is a platform that is changing aspects of digital space in regard to safety, conscience, and inclusiveness. The best aspect of the platform is the ways they promote digital accessibility and individuality for everyone!

I had a great experience working with the team at the period of their inception when we collaborated for an internet safety workshop series. The purpose and the zeal they brought along with them were so admiring to witness, and I am glad they have come so far. I want to applaud the team for their relentless efforts in informing and teaching us how to navigate the complexities of the digital space.

Cell phones, computers, and the internet have become integral to our daily lives. It is now essential to teach our younger generation the value of social media, computer security, and privacy. For example: to create an account for popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, individuals must be at least 13 years old. However, many minors have opened online accounts, increasing the risk of interacting with strangers.

As a result, educating the youths about online threats, malware, and its possible risks is always a good idea. It is always preferable to create broad awareness among them for this purpose. Thus, I am extremely grateful to the Safer I Nepal team for all of their efforts in creating a safer digital space for everyone.
